MISSION STATEMENT
The Fire Chiefs Association of Santa Barbara County is committed to enhance Fire and Emergency Services through leadership and collaboration for the communities we serve.
As an adjunct body of the Fire Chiefs Association of Santa Barbara County, the Santa Barbara County Training Officers Association mission is to maximize operational readiness among the county's fire service personnel. In achieving our mission, the Association's goals are to identify training needs, acquire cost-effective courses and instructors, and provide firefighters access to those courses.

03/11/2015 US&R HERS March 11th-13th at Vandenberg Air Force Base........There must be twenty students enrolled no later than 1700 on Monday March 2nd, 2015 to conduct the class......................Assess the need for, and capabilities of various types of construction related equipment to assist task force personnel in US&R activities. Prepare site for and assist with positioning and setup of cranes and other heavy equipment, including initial safety inspection of all heavy equipment. Interact with and coordinate efforts between the task force personnel and heavy equipment operators. Calculate loads, direct proper sling or other attachment techniques, and debris separation techniques. Students will participate in evolutions utilizing various cranes and equipment to facilitate the movement of various loads...................For Registration: Contact Santa Barbara City Fire Department Training Captain Tony Pighetti by email at [email protected] or phone 805-564-5703 who will coordinate filling available slots.
